West Salem Machinery has completed delivery
of a complete hog fuel screening and hogging system to a major paper manufacturer.
The system was fully engineered and
manufactured by WSM, including conveyors, magnetics, WSM
48-9 disc screen, WSM 4048BP wood/bark hog with pivot case,
and support structures with access platforms. The heavy-duty
disc screen provides pre-screening of bark and wood waste,
with over-sized material processed through WSM's vertical
feed wood/bark hog. Screened and hogged material are collected
on a common discharge conveyor and transferred to fuel storage.
WSM completely pre-assembled all components prior to shipment
to insure a quick and easy field installation
.
This customer took advantage of WSM's unique
optional hog housing design.
This design provides lower installation costs and a space-saving
design by allowing the infeed chute works to remain in place
during service. The pivoted housing operates using a hydraulic
power unit and dual hydraulic cylinders mounted to the sides
of the machine. When it is time to inspect or maintain your
WSM hog, you simply remove the mounting bolts and actuate
the hydraulic cylinders - opening the machine housing in
a quick, easy, and safe manner. The large opening provides
outstanding access to the wear components, making it much
easier to inspect the machine and to rotate or remove the
modular screen grates, hammers, and anvil.
